Award-winning author David Watson Kruger has under­taken a project to trace his and his wife’s sixteen sets of great-great-grandparents, from the beginning of the nineteenth century, in a five-volume work titled A Family Becoming American . Volume 1 , on the Kruger family, was published in 2009. This second volume covers the Foisy family, whose name was anglicized to Frenyear, which has hither­to been untreated. Kruger traces this family from the immigrant (specifically from Champagne, France, to Québec in 1661) to the present. Volumes not available individually.
