Current Health & Safety Protocols

Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is no longer required for entry to our building, and masks are now optional in accordance with City of Boston protocols. At-risk populations are still encouraged to mask, as defined by CDC guidance.

Onsite access to the JHC and the American Ancestors Research Center is by confirmed appointment.

Scheduling an appointment is required. We are currently open for appointments on Thursdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Please note: The JHC will be closed, and appointments unavailable, on Thursday, August 25 and Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Although many of our collections have been digitized, several are stored in an off-site facility and we require at least two weeks to ensure the collection you need can be delivered in time for your appointment.
