Dr. Miriam Eve Mora holds her PhD in immigration and ethnic history, as well as a Master’s in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Her research addresses antisemitism, nationalism, Jewish history, Jewish gender, Holocaust representation, Irish history, migration, and masculinity. Her forthcoming book, Carrying a Big Schtick: American Jewish Acculturation and Masculinity in the Twentieth Century, will be published by Wayne State University Press in 2023. She has taught at various institutions, and currently serves as the Director of Programs for the Center for Jewish History in New York City, overseeing public and academic programs. In this new position at the Wyner Family Jewish Heritage Center, Dr. Mora will use JHC archival collections to create original scholarship and educational programs about Jewish history and heritage in New England and the United States.
