Visit the "About the Exhibit" Page
Start with the "About" page to learn about the process and significance of the Jewish Neighborhood Voices project.
The neighborhood pages are a great place to start for a more general overview of their history and significance. You can start with Chelsea and then follow the links at the bottom to explore the other neighborhoods.
If you want to explore a specific topic, try looking at the theme pages to find related anecdotes. Follow the links at the bottom of the "Jewish Family Life" page to learn explore the other themes.
If you would like to learn more about a particular neighborhood or narrator, check out the Meet the Narrators page for that neighborhood. Start with Chelsea Narrators, and you can follow the links at the bottom of that page to learn more about growing up in each area.
Once you have initially explored the exhibit, try listening to some of the full-length interviews on the Digital Library & Archives. If you are interested in hearing about individual experiences, this can be very helpful. It can also provide additional context for the shorter clips in the exhibit.
The "Additional Resources" page is very helpful for identifying further sources for research. It lists articles, books, and online resources about historically Jewish neighborhoods of Greater Boston.
