Visit the Wyner Family Jewish Heritage Center at American Ancestors on Tuesday, October 20 to discover highlights from our archives and learn more about the mission and work of the JHC. Meet our expert staff and hear about the history of Jewish businesses in Boston and beyond from our guest speaker Dr. Hasia Diner. 

6:00—6:30: Explore the archives and learn more about the JHC

6:30—7:30: Introduction by JHC staff; remarks from Historian Dr. Hasia Diner; Q&A  

Connecting with archival materials related to both iconic and lesser-known local businesses, from Stop & Shop and Filene's to the local kosher dairy, you will explore their history and their impact at this JHC Open House.

Hasia Diner is Professor Emerita, New York University where she served as the Paul and Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History. Her many books cover American Jewish history, American immigration history, women's history, and more. She has been both a Fulbright and Guggenheim Fellow.
