GI Holy Days Pamphlet, National Jewish Welfare Board, 1944.

This pamphlet, saved by Herbert Gorfinkle from his service as a combat engineer and army photographer during World War II, details the religious observances and cultural celebrations Jewish members of the military engaged in at home and abroad. The pamphlet includes numerous stories of soldiers holding services and marking holidays even under wartime conditions. It was published by the National Jewish Welfare Board as part of a series of informational pamphlets for servicemembers of the Jewish Faith.
